The Youth Majors A is for players ages 10, 11 and 12, Players must register for Majors B and tryout for Youth Majors A in September during the first weekend after Labor Day. The teams then draft players in January or February of the new baseball year. Those players selected will be notified at that time. Players who are selected stay with their team until they turn a baseball age 13 when they move to the Senior Division. Those players who tried out but were not selected by a team will be automatically placed on a Youth Majors B team.
This Division is very competitive. Players are given the best in coaching, practice 2 to 3 times per week and play 1 weekday game and 1 weekend game each week from the beginning of mid-April through the beginning of June.
Game jerseys and hats are provided by the League. Pants, belts, socks, bats and gloves are the responsibility of each individual player. It is also strongly suggested that each player have their own batting helmet and protective cup. Each team has batting helmets to be shared by the team in cases where a player does not have their own at the game or practice.
